Welcome to Simply Earth
If you’re new to Simply Earth, I recommend checking out my Simply Earth Review. In that post, I go over everything you need to know about the company, the quality of their products, and what to expect from their services.
If you’re short on time, here’s the bare minimum you need to know:
Simply Earth is a relatively new company that’s making waves in the essential oil business. They offer 100% undiluted, GC/MS-tested, ethically grown and harvested essential oils for a great price.
Simply Earth works intimately and directly with global farmers to produce the best plants possible. Then, they manufacturer the oils in their own commercial kitchen right here in the US.
The idea is to cut out the middle-man so you can reap in the savings.
They also donate 13% of their profits to organizations fighting human trafficking. So, when you purchase their essential oils, you’re also giving to a good cause.
Simply Earth sells individual essential oils, but they are most known for their monthly subscription boxes, also called Recipe Boxes.

Simply Earth Recipe Box Monthly Subscription
Beginners and expert essential oil fans alike are loving these boxes. In fact, as I’m writing this, they’ve already sold out of July’s box!
Every single recipe box includes a surprise selection of essential oils and fun, themed recipes.
For example, this month’s theme is clear, healthy skin.
The idea behind the recipe box is to gradually help you transition your home from chemical-dependency to a life of natural products.
And these recipe boxes truly do take in every aspect of your lives. I’ve seen the boxes include household cleaning items recipes (like detergent, multi-purpose cleaners, dishwasher soap etc.), homemade soap, fun crafts for kids, Christmas crafts, and more.
I especially recommend the recipe box for natural-minded mamas just getting into the essential oils gig. It’s a fun, affordable way to bring essential oils into your family’s lives.
This Month’s Recipe Box: Simply Earth August Box 2019
As I mentioned earlier, the theme for this month is clean, healthy skin. Simply Earth has included everything you’ll need to make all-natural scrubs, masks, and cleansers (with the exception of perishable items like honey or oats).
Here’s what’s included in the Simply Earth August Box 2019:
- 15ml Rosemary Essential Oil
- 15ml Cloves Essential Oil
- 15ml Frankincense
- 15ml Clear Skin blend
- 2oz Lavender Hydrosol
- Face Mask
- 6 Recipe Cards
- Labels for Your Mixes
If you’ve ordered from Simply Earth before, you might be tempted to think that this month’s box is a little minimal. I mean, in the past they’ve included 2oz packages of powders and whole mixing containers.
But, if you take a look a little further into their website, you’ll see that the Frankincense and Rosemary sold by itself is actually worth $40, so it’s definitely steal!
Big Bonus Box
If this is your first time ordering, you’ll also receive the Bonus Box. I talked a bit about the bonus box and its purpose in my Simply Earth Review. Basically, the Bonus Box contains everything you need to create your concoctions each month.
Here’s what was included for this month:
- 6 10ml roll-on amber glass bottles
- 6 5ml amber glass bottles
- 2oz beeswax
- 12oz coconut oil
- 4oz carrier coconut oil
- 4oz carrier almond oil
With this box and the Simply Earth recipe box combined, you’re getting a value of $150 for only $39.
My Thoughts on This Month’s Box
I think this is a great box for beginners.
The recipes included in the box are extremely easy to create and there are very few additional ingredients needed.
While I do love the beautiful skin theme, as a busy mom, I don’t always have time to make facial masks. So, I mostly experimented with the oils individually and added them to the daily activities I already scheduled.
Which brings me to my next point: even though each box has a “theme,” the essential oils provided are still very useful for everyday life.
Each bottle contains helpful information on the back that tells you exactly how to use them in your daily routine and what ages are appropriate.
For example, I’ve used the lavender hydrosol every night to help my insomnia and treat a few bug bites with surprisingly effective results. In fact, as I’m writing this review, I’ve been testing out the rosemary’s memory and focus enhancing capabilities.
I’m also really pleased with the aromatic strength of the oils. While I obviously don’t have the equipment to test the oil purity, the scent certainly leads me to believe that the quality is there.
Bonus Box
I’m extremely thankful for all of the supplies Simply Earth sent in the Bonus Box. These supplies completely streamlined the oil mixing process. I don’t think I would have been able to make their recipes if they hadn’t thought to include it!
This is exactly what sets Simply Earth apart from their competitors. They’re so considerate of their customer’s needs and always look for ways to add more value.
Simply Earth August Box 2019 Review: Do I Recommend This Month’s Box?
Most definitely.
Whether you want to naturalize your skin care routine or simply use the oils in your daily life, this box definitely has some oils that you don’t want to miss.
If this is your first time buying the box, you’re in for a special treat. When you purchase with my code, BABYLANDFREE, you’ll receive the August Recipe Box, the Bonus Box, and $40 eGift Card for future purchases (which basically pays for September’s box as well!). Just make sure you use this link with this code to reap in the savings.
I hope this review was helpful to you and, most of all, I hope you love this month’s box!
Until next time!
